She went home

But not before putting in one last load of laundry.

Oy. I hope you've got some bubble bath and a good, old-fashioned bodice ripper to reward yourself for not popping her in the nose.

That's one fire successfully put out. I hope the rest of the weekend was ok.

She was on her way home and still needed to do laundry!?

Phew. Hope you then used your washing machine with reckless abandon.

Good luck with the rest.

I stay away for a few days and all hell breaks loose! Visiting mothers . . . gaaaah. My head would explode.

As for your son . . . You've probably addressed this before, but what about home schooling? Is it worth the heartache at school, for what is surely an education inferior to that which you could provide?

I'm not saying it's easy -- we had more than a few battle royales, since it was tough for Jake to look upon as teachers rather than parents, but eventually things settled into an odd routine. It works, in any case.

Whatever you do, best of luck!
