Happy Valentine's Day.

Today started with me getting a speeding ticket.

So I suppose it can only get better.

So I guess your being on the school board doesn't help here, does it? Sorry about that. That stinks.

When the cop asked if there was "a reason" as to why I was travelling 52 mph in a 35 mph zone (drops into a 35 zone just after a long stretch of 45), I was sorely tempted to say, "Really bitchin song on the radio."

But I refrained.

Thing is, I know a lot of the more senior officers on the force, but not the young lackeys they send out to man speed traps. Sigh.

Oh, that really sucks. Worse than the fines are the points on your license. It could have been worse! My brother just did something like this but in a construction zone (at a time when no one was working, tho.) All punishments were amplified.

Crap, I hate getting a ticket. I feel your pain. My daughter was pulled over and burst into tears when the officer asked for her license and got off with a warning. I wish I could burst into tears at the drop of a hat. Hope the rest of your day goes better.

I hate getting pulled over because I have the worst organizing system in the world and I have no clue if my insurance tickets are ever the current ones.

Renee - I remember getting pulled over once, rolled my window down and said 'I guess I was speeding'. I can still remember the stunned look on the police officers face. Most people act all 'what's the problem officer but I could never pull that off with a straight face. Like I have nooo clue why you would pull me over. None at all! I've always got a ticket because I couldn't act my way out of a wet paper bag.

Suisan - hope your day got better. Ours ended with another trip to the ER for Bob. Turns out they now know he has benign (not bad) positional vertigo. I freaked out when I looked into his eyes while he was telling me he was feeling dizzy. They were shaking like merracas. Never seen a human eye do the before. Tremored in unison they did. I may have scared him because for the first time ever I said 'get your stuff, we're going to the hospital!' He stood and fell over. 911. He told me I wasn't allowed to blog about it because he wasn't the one to say we were to go to the hospital. Hey, your eyeballs do a special dance and I'm thinking neurological disorder. Good news. They ruled that out. So see, I didn't blog about it but, I did leave a HUGE post on your blog.

I feel better now ;)

Holey Moley, Cindy.

Yeah, I would say that when the eyes dance it's time to find a doctor.

My dad, recipient of six bypasses, has an insane habit of NOT TELLING anyone when he has chest pains. The fist time he ended up in the hospital with the sextuple bybass in 1988. More recently he did mention that he wasn't feeling well, and my mom called 911. He was annoyed that she did, and was embarrassed, but it turned out that he had been having pains for at least a week. Ended up with a hosiptal stay and an angioplasty/stent. Silly man.

Thank goodness Bob is OK. (Feel free to blog over here anytime you want. I don't care how long you go on.)
