Help me, I'm drowning.

I'm drowning in a disgusting sea of drool. Saliva. Thumping hearts and vacant stares.

I'm awash in langour and daydreams. The waves of infatuation are lapping at the sides of my boat of forward progress.

I had plans for this weekend, damn it. I found my vacuum cleaner and was going to use it, for god's sake. (OK, that is a whole different story. My babysitter used it on my living room floor and very nicely put it away. It's been missing for over a week. And yes. I looked in the closets. And no, it wasn't in there. HOW DO YOU LOSE A FREAKING VACUUM CLEANER?!?!?!?! ::small voice:: She put it in the upstairs linen closet which is so packed with junk I never thought to open the door. Shows you I wasn't changing the sheets either, huh?)

I can't walk into or past my bedroom anymore without being sucked in. What is the problem?

Horatio Hornblower.

Boxed DVD set of Horatio Hornblower.

Gah.

So fine.

'Course Kennedy ain't so bad either.

God help me. I haven't had crushes like this since, well, that would just be embarrassing to say.

Choices are: vacuum, eat, read, write, watch more Horatio Hornblower. NO! NOO!! I say! No more of this time-wasting foolishness! The Dog Hair is pillowing up around your shoes as you walk across the floor, woman! (Channelling Cap't Pellew?) Do your DUTY!

Okay. This is freaky. I just watched my first HH episode--I got the second one from the library, I guess they figured I'd be smart enough to follow along--but I wasn't totally in love with it. Ioaneuiqz, yeah, HE has *got* to be one of the foxiest men alive, but I wasn't enthralled with the story. Is it me? Should I try again? Should I have read the books first? I so want to get into this, and yet--not so much.

please, my dear, do not bother with the books.

Dull, duller, dullest.

I'm not even sure I AM that much into the story. Just a girly, crush-infatuation thing.

Love his voice. And (Oh god it gets worse) my seven year old has a CD set--stories of knights--narrated by Ioann.

"Sweetie, you want to listen to THIS tape as you fall asleep?"

I'm afraid I wouldn't be any help. I'd be going with Horatio for sure. I LOVED this series when it was on and have seriously considered getting the DVD. And while I loved Horatio, my crush is defintely Archie Kennedy!!!

I LOVED this series too. Watched it both times it came on A&E (I think). I'm putting the DVD set on my Christmas list.

I haven't watched HH but the second guy is in my Battlestar Galactica series and yummmmm. He reminds me of the guy who played Bosco in Third Watch - another character that I loved.

I was forced into some house cleaning this weekend because friends were coming and I don't want them to think that I live in filth. I do but, I don't want them thinking it ;)

Well, the second pic of Jamie Bamber is actually from Battlestar Gallactica; Bamber as Apollo. Don't think he was so buff for Kennedy.

Husband has Battlestar DVDs and had been trying to get me interested. Eh, not so much. Was a HUGE fangirl of original Battlestar--didn't want to watch another under the same name. But now that I know that Kennedy, I mean Bamber, is there. Well, there might be hope.....

Now see, cindys blogged about BG recently and I wanted to know how she got it since it doesn't seem to be playing on Canadian television. I've bben wanting to see it ever since I heard Jamie Bamber was on it. I too loved the orginal Battlestar and was heartbroken when it went off the air. I'm defintely going to have to rent me the DVD's. (how Cindy watched it)
